The "Genetic Nondiscrimination Bill" prohibits employers, insurers and others from using genetic information to discriminate. This bill passed the House 480-3 or thereabouts.
An OK senator (Inhofe or Coburn) has placed a hold on this bill.
If you are from OK, call your senator, and express your outrage. Tell him in NO UNCERTAIN TERMS that this hold MUST BE REMOVED.
This bill is important. It forces persons to ignore genetic information, and this would allow people to get these important tests without worrying about the future.
