Coward Democrats Represent The Republican Party Of Imperial President George Bush

Moveon.org Petraeus advertisement

Democrats are clearly on their way to losing what will probably become known as the last real national election in the United States of America.

On Thursday, several Democrats joined with Republicans in the U.S. Senate to condemn the anti-war organization Moveon.org for criticizing Gen. David Petraeus in an advertisement.  These new Dinos, including Dianne Feinstein and Jim Webb, sent a chilling message to anti-war advocates: You cannot truthfully protest the Iraq occupation.

The advertisement spoke truth to power.  It should be commended, not criticized. Click on the image to the right.  What is so "over the top" about the ad? It deals in facts, studies and arguments.  It is a powerful intellectual argument that uses a rhetorical play on Petraeus's name to get attention. It is the truth and that is what Republicans and their Democratic lapdogs do not appreciate. These Washington politicians do not like the truth. They have to vote against it lest it take hold in government.

What about all the attacks on Democrats through the years? Can we go back and pass resolutions about the Swift Boat liars?  Previously, the Senate Democrats helped Republicans ban habeas corpus in this country. (Read that previous sentence again and please click here.)  They refuse to fight the Bush administration even when the president's approval ratings are below 30 percent in many polls. They have done nothing to start troop withdrawals from Iraq.  They have done nothing to improve our health care system, which is in a shambles.  They have done nothing to improve the country's infrastructure, which is in dire need of repair.

Here are the coward Democratic Senators who voted against the basic concept of free speech in America by condemning Moveon.org: Max Baucus, Evan Bayh, Ben Cardin, Thomas Carper, Bob Casey Jr., Kent Conrad, Byron Dorgan, Dianne Feinstein, Tim Johnson, Amy Klobuchar, Herb Kohl, Mary Landrieu, Patrick Leahy, Blanche Lincoln, Claire McCaskill, Barbara Mikulski, Ben Nelson, Bill Nelson, Mark Pryor, Ken Salazar, John Tester and Jim Webb.

I urge all these politicians to officially change their party affiliation to Republican right now--and, really, what difference would it make in voting?--so real Democrats know where we stand.  Let's get rid of these rats on a sinking ship.  We will rebuild the party from scratch.

These coward Democrats in the U.S. Senate clearly do not want to distinguish themselves from their Republican colleagues or Imperial President George Bush despite public polling that shows people are sick and tired of the Iraq occupation.  Polls also show Americans do not believe a word Bush or his political cronies, such as Petraeus, are saying about Iraq.

DocHoc :: Coward Democrats Represent The Republican Party Of Imperial President George Bush
By contrast, the Republican Party looks strong; it is holding together in supposed adversity. Let us face reality, my fellow Dems, before it is too late.  The GOP political operatives for several years have owned the Democrats, and they continue to do so.

All this points to a major Republican sweep for this main reason: The Democrats are quickly losing their base voters who are disgusted by their cowardice and utter stupidity.  Just a few months ago, the 2008 election looked like an overwhelming Democratic sweep, but now Republicans clearly have the edge. The GOP controls the political narrative; Democrats refuse to fight this narrative or offer a new one. Here is what is going to happen unless things change radically soon: The American people will endure another year of GOP victories in Congress on every important issue despite Democratic majorities, and then Republicans will win the presidency and majorities in both the Senate and House.  The 2006 elections were for nothing.

The Democratic rhetoric by leading U.S. Senators and presidential candidates is perfunctory, dull and self-serving.  It is disheartening and tragic.  It should make you cringe in disgust and despair.  The majority of American people have absolutely no voice in Washington.  Why vote?  Why get involved?  You might get tasered or condemned in a Senate resolution.  These coward Democrats represent the Republican Party of Imperial President George Bush.

How can the Democrats be so stupid as to allow a Republican victory on an occupation issue when they cannot even raise the votes to get the troops some rest?  Why would they do it?  Do their high-paid political consultants tell them to do it?  Do they not know that they can never criticize anything Petraeus ever says at this juncture?  What if Petraeus testifies again in September, 2008, right before the November election, and he distorts and exaggerates again? They will not be able to say anything or do anything.  Do they not see their actions are effectively abolishing the Democratic Party?

It is time to get serious about your escape plans from this country once the Republicans sweep the 2008 national elections.  The government, under continued neoconservative rule, will surely become a bonafide fascist/military dictatorship.  Heck, in a few years, Petraeus will be dictator. Canada?  Mexico?  Europe?  Will these places even accept American political refugees?  It will take money to get out. Keep in mind, the rich, coward Democrats will be able to get out quickly.

Outrage!
The idea that a add runs asking a question is condemned by Congress is terrible injustice.
Where was congress when questions should have been asked? Questions on what would happen if we went to war with Iraq? When were our military asked. What will happen if we go in with too few troops? This makes me sick! The people who should be asking the same question move-on ask condemn the question..  Bull Shit!

Terrible injustice
These Dems and, of course, the Republicans were definitely on the wrong side here when it comes to freedom of speech. This may seem minor to some Democrats, true, but it is a part of a pattern on the part of the current government to intimidate people and prevent them from speaking out.  More importantly for Dems, though, is that this is a crucial mistake when it comes to political strategy.  Once you celebrate someone's integrity, then it is very difficult to challenge his/her veracity.  So what happens when Petraeus and Bush pull this same political stunt a week or two before the 2008 elections?  What if Petraeus's lies are even larger in scope?  What if the presidential race is really close at this time?  I've heard it argued that Dems did this so they could come back later and demand Republicans condemn attack ads from their side.  What a joke?  Who really believes this?  I know Randi Rhodes of Air America Radio is right now shouting down guests on her show who differ from this "official" Democratic position.  She's yelling and screaming.

Randi Rhodes
I care less what she has to say about this.
The very idea an elected official or radio host on Air America will use our troops for a political purpose is what is wrong with the way this country is moving.

Bush
I agree.  Imperial President George Bush has done more to politicize the military than any previous president in American history.
